This post is for yesterday, Wednesday the 7th. The weather is still a bit below freezing with a raw wind. The birds are busy at the feeder. The downy woodpecker seems to be present every day--assuming it is the same one! The lone sparrow has disappeared but there are plenty of red polls and also chickadees each day as well.
We drove to Shoal Lake and on the way there and back saw several ravens. I assume they are still ravens but crows will soon be back.
