Haiku Eight

Round hay bales brown beasts
Standing sullenly snowy capped
Trapped and frozen

Haiku 7 Road Kill

Feast interrupted
Angry wings flapping the crows
Reluctantly rise

Haiku Six Moonlight Sonata

Reflections shimmer
Ripples break upon the shore
A delicate dancing

Haiku five

Deep below the snow
 Frigid soil dreams of spring
Below a white shroud

Haiku four

Sharp cold stabs and cuts
Wind jabs through clothes then skin
Each step dreams of warmth

Haiku three

Haiku three:

White whiter whiteout
Wind swirls blinding blankets
Of snow white line lost
Haiku number two.

Shuffling slowly
Along the deck in the dark
With a white striped tail
I am changing my bird feeder blog into a haiku blog. I hope to post at least on haiku or other short poem each day or so. Here is 001.

 Wind lifting limbs
 In the spruce chickadees flit
  Snow drifting down
