Winter Storm Warning Issued
The birds were busy at the feeder today. The temperature has fallen well below freezing and there is a storm warning with snow expected. Perhaps the birds are filling up before the storm and cold winds that will accompany it.
The usual red polls were active and a few chickadees but also a downy woodpecker re-appeared for the first time in several days. Soon we should have some warmer weather and perhaps birds from south may begin to appear.
