Trip to the dump

Still very cold. The wind chill is in the minus thirties (C). So far only the regular are showing up at the feeder: red polls, chickadees, and house sparrows.
We made a trip to the local dump and there we saw about a half dozen ravens and two magpies. They were not actually at the dump but in a field nearby. Perhaps smoke from a fire at the dump drove them away temporarily.
