First American Goldfinch.

I saw the first American goldfinch this morning. There are also chipping sparrows still about and pine siskins as well. The photo is of my own feeder last year with my
plastic bird bath missing the top in the background

I've had Goldfinches at my feeder for the past month. We've watched them turn brillant yellow.

Then ten days ago, there were none. Nothing has changed. The feeders are full of thistle and chipped sunflower seeds, there are no cats or birds of prey, where are they?

Thanks.
