There was moderate traffic all day at the feeder. The red polls have knocked quite a bit of seed on the ground and there were often red polls eating on the ground--in the snow actually! There were also a few chickadees darting back and forth to the feeder.
Although we went out of town, I did not see any birds except in the evening when it was dark. Some bird flew off at the side of the road but I did not get a chance to see it well enough to know what it was. It was probably an owl.
